Big Win in Thompson

We all know that in high school football, every game counts! The Raiders have been off to a great start starting the year off 3-0 with progression every week. This game against Thompson was no different then the last couple of weeks as the Lakota-Adams-Edmore Raiders pulled off another win against the Thompson Tommies!
#10 Eric Haugland, #44 Chris Miller

RECAP
The Raiders kicked off to the Tommies to start this game off, they showed there aggressiveness early by shutting down Thompson's run game right off the bat forcing a punt to #21 Jaron Moor. It didn't take long for the Raiders offense to get rolling as Eric Haugland and the offense marched right down the field scoring off a Jaron Moor 13 yard TOUCHDOWN rush with 8:07 left in the 1st Quarter! Defense has been key all year long for the Raiders and they were not backing down in this game forcing back to back three and out drives for the Tommies. Although the passing game has been lacking this season we still have been seeing great progress from Quarterback Eric Haugland, however on the Raiders second drive of the game we seen more of the Raiders exciting running game. Dylan Eichelberger who has been making plays all season took the ball into the endzone with 3:19 left in the 2nd Quarter scoring a Lakota-Adams-Edmore Raiders TOUCHDOWN! Tommies showed a lot of strong points in this game especially with Running Back Zack Silvertson (#43) marching the ball down the field early in the second Quarter, the Raiders were on there heals trying to prevent a momentum changing Touchdown but on 4th and goal Eric Haugland made a big hit on the Wide Receiver to prevent the Tommies Touchdown. The Raiders were pinned back in there own endzone to start there next drive after the Fourth Down stop they had made, causing them to have to go 96 yards. Chris Miller had a nice 12 yard run to get them out of there own endzone making things more comfortable for the offense, it didn't take long for Jaron Moor to make a play after that, scoring on a 56 yard TOUCHDOWN run. The Tommies took the next drive with aggression taking it right at Lakota-Adams-Edmore, Quarter Back Conner Weber (15) made some nice throws including his 3 yard Touchdown pass to Wide Receiver Brandon Walsh (#5). Thompson found it difficult to stop the Raiders run game so they attempted to do a sneak onside kick but the Raiders were ready for it and were granted great field position! Taking advantage of this the Raiders took the ball right down the field finishing the drive with a Jaron Moor 2 yard TOUCHDOWN run with only a 1:29 remaining in the first half! Last Friday the Raiders struggled against the pass, this week the Raiders were having none of it! Jaron Moor made an interception with only :58 seconds left in the half allowing the Raiders a chance to score once more before halftime. Eric Haugland completed a 12 yard reception to Carter Hendrickson with no time left on the clock not being able to score a Touchdown, however pass interference was called on the defense giving Lakota-Adams-Edmore one last shot to score with no time on the clock so this was there final shot before halftime. Chris Miller got the carry, stepping through one tackle and diving into the endzone scoring another Raiders TOUCHDOWN. The halftime score was Raiders 38 Tommies 6. Starting the 2nd half the Raiders got the ball, Coach Joe Harder gave Full Back Brady Eichelberger the ball on four consecutive plays, capitalizing on a 2 yard TOUCHDOWN run. Coach Harder decided to pull the starters after that finishing the game with a 44-22 VICTORY over the Thompson Tommies.

3-0
The Lakota-Adams-Edmore Raiders have started this season hot! Last season the Raiders started the season off 3-0 but this season they do not want a let down. This season has been a great start for the team, the running backs have been capable to make plays almost every time they get the football. Chris Miller through 3 games has 394 yards, Miller has been a huge part of the Raiders offense this season. Last week when I sat down and talked with Chris Miller about the DP game, he had a great attitude and really finds it important to keep his mind clear and just focus on the game.

Taking the Field
Jaron Moor has been taking the field this season, literally. Moor had only 5 carries against Thompson, racking up 90 yards for 3 TOUCHDOWNS! in 3 games he has 5 Touchdowns and 233 rushing yards this season. Moor has been capable to make a play every time he gets the ball, he has made big play after big play this season and I don't expect to see him to slow down. The rushing attack has been a complete success all the way around this year. I have had many conversations with Moor this season and is always ready to go.

Head Coach Joe Harder, #21 Jaron Moor, Coach Matt Crane
This season has had many exciting plays, however this weeks play of the game goes to Chris Miller and his diving Touchdown rush with no time left in the 2nd Quarter.
#10 Eric Haugland, #44 Chris Miller, #24 Zac Sundre and #71 Garret Pic
