DRAMATIC HOMECOMING GAME

Lakota-Adams-Edmore had there Homecoming game against Drayton-Valley-Edinburg. This game had many explosive plays, making this the most exiting game of the season so far for the Raiders!

Recap
The Raiders kicked the ball off to the Blue Knights, The Raiders were not expecting a reverse and Drayton-Valley-Edinburg brought it, scoring on the opening kickoff as #22 Kilen Flanagan went 80 yards for the Touchdown. The Raiders were not going to let an early Touchdown discourage them, taking it right at the Blue Knights scoring quickly off a Jaron Moor 9 yard TOUCHDOWN rush with 9:17 left in the 1st Quarter. However the Raiders found taking Blue Knights Running Back Kilen Flanagan to the ground a difficult task as he ran for a 60 yard Touchdown rush, only 3 plays into there drive. Once again the Raiders had to bounce back, this time they pounded it into the endzone with Raiders Running Back Chris Miller for a 6 yard TOUCHDOWN run! Now the Raiders were looking for a stop, and they had a perfect opportunity late in the 1st when the Blue Knights decided to go for it on 4th down, Quarterback Jeremy Olvog took it himself looking for the 1st down, who then ended up taking it 45 yards for another Blue Knights Touchdown. Making big plays for the Raiders has not been an issue all season, they also have protected the football very well this season. On the Raiders next drive, they were pounding it down the middle with Chris Miller and Brady Eichelberger getting the football all the way down to the Blue Knights 20 yard line, until Fullback Brady Eichelberger fumbled the football, giving the momentum and the ball to the Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Blue Knights. The very next play Kilen Flanagan took off for a 80 yard Touchdown run, giving the Blue Knights a two possession lead. Coach Joe Harder rallied the team together calming them down to start the Raiders next drive. The Raiders new they had to score on there next drive to prevent the game from getting away from them, they did just that putting the ball in Chris Millers hands to score on a 4 yard TOUCHDOWN run! Ending the first half with the Blue Knights leading 28-24. The Blue Knights kicked the ball off to the Raiders to start the second half. it did not take long for Jaron Moor to break one open scoring on a 47 yard TOUCHDOWN run giving the Raiders there first lead of the night. Drayton-Valley-Edinburg, was capable of running all over the Raiders defense, however on the next drive after the Jaron Moor Touchdown, the Blue Knights chose to throw the football and Eric Haugland was ready for it! Intercepting the ball and taking back to the house for a 42 yard interception return! This only was the beginning of an exciting second half of football! Kilen Flanagan, already had two big Touchdown runs and a kickoff return, however he would not stop there scoring on another 80 yard Touchdown run only two plays after Eric Hauglands interception return. The Raiders were looking to regain the lead on the next possession, until Quarterback Eric Haugland lost the football giving it back to the Blue Knights, this was a big turning point in the game. Not only was Kilen Flanagan a huge part of the Blue Knights offense, so was Quarterback Jeremy Olvug who already had a Touchdown run in this game, scored one more for a 3 yard Touchdown run. Ending the 3rd with the lead over the Raiders 42-40. With only 6:11 left in the game Kilen Flanagan was not done scoring as he took a huge 51 yard Touchdown rush back for the Blue Knights. The Raiders had to make a play and they went right after the Blue Knights, throwing over top of them, to Jaron Moor for a 45 yard TOUCHDOWN pass from Eric Haugland! The Raiders were at the point where they had to make a stop on defense, this was not going to happen with the big play ability from Running Back Kilen Flanagan and Quarterback Jeremy Ulvog. Both of these players were capable to make Raiders miss allowing Ulvog to score on a 15 yard Touchdown Rush giving the Blue Knights a 54 to 48 lead with a little over 2 minutes remaining in the 4th. The Raiders showed they had a game changer on there team, with Running Back/ Flanker Jaron Moor who scored on the Raiders previous possession. Eric Haugland was looking to throw the football and he put it up there for no one else other then Jaron Moor who came down with it, scoring on a 50 yard TOUCHDOWN reception giving the Raiders the lead with only 1:41 remaining. This was the most important possession of the game for the Raiders defense, if they made a stop here the game is over. The Blue Knights began to drive completing passes and running efficiently, it came down to one last play with only 6 seconds remaining as the Blue Knights were on the raiders 25 yard line, Quarterback Jeremy Ulvog threw it up towards the endzone looking for a Blue Knights receiver, throwing an interception to Cornerback Jaron Moor who made another big play in the game! The fans rushed field in excitement as the Lakota-Adams-Edmore Raiders had won there Homecoming game against the Drayton-Valley-Edinburg Blue Knights with a score of the Raiders 56 Blue Knights 54.

4-0
The Raiders are now 4-0, having themselves a great season. The running game has been efficient and the defense has had a solid start. The Running game would not be where it is without the offensive line. The line has done what they are supposed to helping the Raiders to a 4-0 start and they hope to continue this streak till the end of the season. One key I have noticed is the Raiders do not get discouraged when they are down in games, they get tougher, this is the main reason why they are 4-0 and will be very competitive till the end of the season! Jaron Moor in the last 2 games has 5 rushing Touchdowns and 2 receiving Touchdowns which makes him a huge threat to any team the Raiders face. He has huge play making ability, which can really disorganize a defense. Eric Haugland has also been a big factor in the 4-0 start, Haugland is simply not afraid to run over a player. Haugland in this game threw 2 Touchdown passes, which were two of the biggest Touchdown passes he has thrown in his career. Chris Miller always makes plays, he attacks the hole with conviction and can out run almost everyone on the football field. If Miller gets the edge, he has the ability to take off and break a huge Touchdown run! Some of the big plays that have been made this year would not of been made if it wasn't for Fullback Brady Eichelberger, he is one of the best Fullbacks to run behind and he makes plays every time he is on the field. Dylan Eichelberger averages about 5 yards a carry and has the speed to break a big one at any time! Dylans presence on defense makes him very dangerous, you can almost guarantee he'll be in on the tackle every time hes out there!

Final
The conclusion of this game was excellent coming with a huge victory late in the game, however this game showed many areas that the Raiders need to improve on to continue there undefeated season. The Running game has been so efficient this year that the Raiders aren't concerned with the passing game, but this is an area the Raiders must get better. Although there was two Touchdown passes in the game against Drayton-Valley-Edinburg the overall performance of the passing game needs improvement, so the Raiders can avoid being one dimensional. Also stopping the passing game, when the Raiders played DP they could not stop the them from throwing the football which caused that game to be close in the beginning, once the Raiders can efficiently establish a pass defense they will be one of the most dangerous defenses that there opponents will face!
